c2c is pleased to announce our upcoming c2c/wc exhibition “on on and on” which opens in conjunction with project 11, the show featured in the c2c’s main space, on Oct. 8th. An artist reception will take place from 6-9. The works included in this group show unanimously display a methodology of layering, application over application of whatever media it is each artist uses to build up their forms or patterns. This includes collage, by Steffan Schiemann and Dennis Parlante, spraying paint in the case of Gabriele Fedele and Robin McDonnell, a silkscreening process used by Stephen Maine, and a combination of techniques by Terry Hoff and Kimberly Rowe. Working this way it is as if these artists intend to invite viewers into their process, revealing through the structure of each piece both how they make their work and a glimpse of their understanding of the world.
The exhibition, in conjunction with project 11 in the main space, will open with a reception on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 6-9pm. It will run through November 6 with gallery hours on Sundays from 12-5pm. c2c project space is at 1695 18th Street #413 in San Francisco (cross streets are Carolina and Arkansas).
